Who we are
The Quiet War (“we,” “us”) operates quiet-war.com. For privacy questions, use ourcontact form.
What we collect
- Contact form: name, email, subject, and message when you submit the contact form. If you opt into the mailing list on that form, we also store your signup preference.
- Email list: email address when you enlist via the footer or home signup.
- First-party analytics (with consent): after you accept our cookie notice, we record page views, time spent on each page, browser and device type, referring site, session identifier, clicks on external links, and your IP address. We store this on our own server — not with Google Analytics, Meta, or other ad networks — and we do not send it to any third-party service.
- Technical data: IP address and basic server logs for security and abuse prevention, including rate limiting on forms. We do not send your IP to any third party.
- Local storage: preferences such as cookie consent and one-time site notices (see our Cookie Policy).
How we use it
We use this information to respond to messages, send list updates you signed up for, understand how the site is used so we can improve it, operate and secure the site, and fulfill orders when the shop is live. We do not sell your personal information or use third-party advertising profiles.
Analytics and location
Analytics run only after you click OK on the cookie banner. We record your IP address with analytics and form events for security and abuse prevention, but we do not look up or store your geographic location, and we never send your IP to a third-party service. We do not track you across other websites.
Order and payment data
When checkout goes live, payment card data is processed by our payment provider (Square). We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Order fulfillment is handled by our print partner (Printful) — they receive shipping details needed to deliver your gear.
Retention
Contact submissions and subscriber records are kept as long as needed to operate the business, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Analytics events are kept to understand trends over time and may be aggregated or deleted periodically. You may ask us to delete list or contact data where applicable law allows.
Your choices
You can decline analytics by not accepting the cookie banner — essential site functions still work, but usage statistics will not be recorded for that browser. You can opt out of marketing email via the unsubscribe method in any list message (when implemented) or by contacting us. You can clear site preferences by removing local storage in your browser settings.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site and shop evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
